  • This mic is a throwback to the old days. Established comics work new material, new comics perfect their old material and the occasional crackpot will get on stage and make everybody laugh with no explanation why. The host, April, is fantastic. She has great energy and is extremely supportive. The room tends to be extremely supportive. The only downside-New York Comedy Club. The place is a total dump. But once you've gotten past the trophy cases full of old candy, the horribly fake brick wall and the murals of Has-Beens such as Dice Clay and Ace Ventura (really?) you should have a great time under April's watchful eye. Bring your friends-The room rarely fills with visitors even though there's no cover to watch.
