This mic is a joke-no pun intended. No matter what time you sign up or arrive, the host assigns your order according to a system nobody understands. Comics perform and bolt. No support. The drinks are EXTREMELY pricy: Any cocktail is a minimum of $10 and non alcoholic is at least $5 and if you order non alcoholic drink you're told that doesn't count toward your drink minimum (you'll have to argue your way out of this one.) Don't expect a comedy club vibe. This place reads more like a drivers education classroom than a performance space.

I always enjoy my time here at Ochi’s Virgin Mic. Its run by the always great Suzette Simon, who keeps the room friendly, supportive and fun. I always pay attention to the way a host treats unfamiliar faces and new comics to a room, and Suzette is always warm and welcoming no matter who you are. It’s a once-a-month mic, so get on her email list for updates. The price is $5 and a one drink min, but I usually buy a coke and never had any problems.
