Vladimir Khlynin

Today I am interviewing Vladimir Khlynin, a comedian from San Francisco, CA who has been doing comedy for four years. To find out more about Vladimir, please visit his website.

Why did you start doing stand-up comedy?

I was 19 when I started doing comedy. I'm 25 now. So it's about 41/2 years of comedy. Lost a year or two from not being in the scene.

What was your first year doing stand-up like?

Fun... hard... rewarding. My first year proved that if you worked hard, big things could happen. I managed to get on Last Comic Standing and the cover of SF Weekly, which no comic had done yet. But that's about it.

How much have you changed since you started performing comedy?

I went from not making money to losing money. Confidence is key. I started with too much doubt. now its about getting on stage and enjoying the experience.
