Something to think about

"The first time I ever got undressed in front of a woman, it was horrible. She started screaming, and then they kicked me off the bus." - James Leemer. I wanted to use this example to talk about a certain kind of joke. I've found again and again that the best jokes use the audience's imagination to the fullest. When telling your joke, you want to say just enough so that you can let go and let their imagination can take over. There's just enough of a set-up in this joke to let the audience's imagination do all the "heavy lifting." Can't you just picture the guy, the woman, the bus and the other passengers? That's what makes this one of my favorite jokes - it is all about the imagination. Your audience's imagination is your best friend. Put it to work.
