Intakes and outtakes
I love stand-up comedy. I love to "consume" it and I love to "produce" it. And when it comes to choosing between how much to "play" and how much to "work", I stick to a very simple rule - consume less than you produce. Every day. We all consume entertainment. The trick is for the intake to always be less than the outtake. For every hour I listen to stand-up comedy, I spend two hours writing. And I think this concept applies to everything else we do in life. Do you want to be rich? Spend less than you earn. Do you want to be thin? Consume less calories than you burn. A surplus a day goes a long way.
