Study the greats

If you want to become a great stand-up comedian, you need to study the greats. A great comedian should inspire you to greatness. You need to figure out just what it is that makes them great and apply it to yourself. Whom do I consider to be comedy's greatest? George Carlin, Steven Wright and Mitch Hedberg. I keep their jokes in a file and review one of their joke daily for inspiration. Feel free to make a list of all the jokes of your favorite comedians and see what happens.
