Let's talk about technology. If you love writing jokes into your notepad, then by all means do so. But if you've been thinking about going high-tech, allow me to explain why a cell phone is superior to a notepad in every way. Because you will be able to back-up your jokes and never lose them. Because you will never run out of room to write. Because you will be connected to Google if you need to research a joke. Because you will be able to alphabetize and search your jokes. The list goes on and on. For my writing, I use the Sidekick, but just about any cell phone will do as long as it has a very comfortable keyboard. That will become the most important feature of your phone if you're going to spend 2 hours a day every day working on your comedy. So before you buy your new phone, find a store that sells it and practice writing on it. Seriously.
