Review: Village Lantern Wednesday open mic
If you've never been to this open mic, you owe it to yourself to check it out. This is a surprisingly solid open mic for many reasons. Located in the Village, this mic almost always has real audience, which is a rare treat for any beginning comedian. Hosted by Steve Rosso, this mic brings together surprisingly many talented comedians because quality attracts quality and all that. And the comedian who brings the most people gets to take home half the money collected. Not too shabby. Here's how to get in. Steve sends out a sign-up email every week, usually Fridays. The trick is to reply right away because these spots go surprisingly fast. That's why I get Steve's emails delivered straight to my cell phone. For a complete list of nyc open mics, click here.

Hey Slava,
Not quite....it isn't a first come-first serve - What Stevwe does is takes all the names who want to be included and puts them into randomizer at random.org (I think that's where it is) to pick who gets on list.
Rock On,

Hi Harris,
I didn't know about the randomizer thing. Thanks for the heads up!
