Review: Maui Taco open mic

Right now my favorite open mic is held every Friday and Wednesday at Maui Taco. Friday is my favorite night of the week to do stand-up comedy, simply because Friday is my favorite day of the week. But on the days when I can't make it on Friday, I am there Wednesday. The next best thing about this mic is Hector Lois, who is a terrific host and his wonderful girlfriend Maritza, who always gets more applause than he does. There's a saying in real estate that also applies open mics - location, location, location. The Maui Taco wins hands down - it is next to the Empire State building and just 10 blocks from Grand Central, which is the halfway point in my daily commute.
