How to write a joke

There are 99 ways to write a joke. You need to find the ones that work for you. Here's just one of many that work for me. Some men collect women's panties. I collect funny words. Funny words are the ones that have multiple meanings and/or are very unusual. They're just begging to be in a joke. Where do I find them? I listen to stand-up comedy both online (Rhapsody) and offline (open mics) every day. Afterwards I write down the many funny words I heard and then build jokes around them. Sometimes I will combine multiple funny words together for an even stronger joke. What are some funny words? Imaginary friend. Meals on wheels. Secret service. Casual Friday. Born again. Trophy wife. Hungry, hungry hippos. Etc, etc, etc.
