Comedy is like weight lifting
Here's my next advice for writing stand-up comedy - change your topic every day, the same way you change your outfit. If yesterday you wrote about Jewish gangsters, why not write today about relationship problems? Comedy writing is like weight lifting, you want to always keep changing your (topics) excercises to make sure your (brain) muscles are challenged in different ways to keep them growing. The more topics, the better your brain workout. You know what they say about variety being the spice of life and all.
